Simona De Rosa is an Italian jazz vocalist, composer and educator whose musical path began in Naples. After studying jazz in New York, she gained international recognition, touring and collaborating with artists from all over the world. Her work combines classical training, the freedom of jazz improvisation and a modern approach to vocal performance. One of her key projects is her collaboration with the Polish trio Confusion Project, an ensemble exploring the borderlands of jazz, progressive rock and film music.Confusion Project (Michal Ciesielski – piano, Piotr Gierszewski – bass guitar, Adam Golicki – drums) was founded in 2013 in Gdansk, Poland, and has since recorded six albums, played hundreds of concerts around the world and collaborated with leading artists from the Polish and international jazz scene. The band has performed in China, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia and Kazakhstan, among other countries, and their music is characterized by unique narrative and cinematic drama.Simona and Confusion Project began touring together in 2023, performing in Poland and Germany. In 2024, they plan to record an album and tour including China, Italy and the US. Their musical collaboration is a meeting of two worlds – the melodic, expressive vocals of Simona and the instrumental storytelling of the trio, which is known for its conceptual albums such as “Primal” and “Last”.

The Confusion Project team is also involved in environmental activities – their #1CD1Tree initiative has allowed more than 2,000 trees to be planted in areas that have been destroyed by humans. The album Last was released in an eco-friendly manner, and the musicians actively support the ideas of sustainable development. Their work shows that music can not only be art, but also a tool for positive social and environmental change.
