Alan Wilkinson / Paweł Doskocz / Andrew Lisle (UK/PL)

Lublin Jazz presents the next installment in its series of improvised jazz concerts.

Join us for a musical event that will bring the London free jazz and impro scene to Poland’s backyard. Alan Wilkinson and Andrew Lisle, considered pillars of this scene (permanent residents at the prestigious Cafe OTO), will be guests in Poland and will present us with their extraordinary experience. Joining this exclusive lineup will be Pawel Doskocz, an experienced improvising guitarist who has been successful collaborating more and more in recent years with foreign artists and is gaining recognition on the international scene in the process.
The first joint tour and meeting of three experienced artists in this configuration promises a fascinating musical dialogue. Alan Wilkinson, a veteran of the scene, will bring a wealth of skills acquired over the years. His contribution to the development of the genre is invaluable, and his collaborations with such giants as Derek Bailey and Eddie Prevost testify to his well-deserved position on the international scene. Andrew Lisle, an acclaimed percussionist of the younger generation, guarantees extraordinary virtuosity and creativity. The Englishman’s improvisations, based on the jazz tradition, are full of experimentation and original techniques. In turn, Pawel Doskocz, a distinguished representative of the local scene, with his unique sound and extended techniques, will provide a unique contribution to this unique combination.
