Lublin Jazz Festival

Musical project brought to life by Andrzej Rajski and Rafał Nowak – duo of musicians and producers experimenting in studio and improvising on stage. Musically unpredictable and widely open to inspiration; they derive from classical music, jazz, ethnic music and nature. The original sound of Automatik combines deep trans drum beat and electronic sound space. The whole ritual is completed in concert thanks to their instrumental collaborators: trumpeter Antoni Gralak and guitarist Piotr Pawlak.

Founded in 1998, the group becomes a pioneer in Polish scene of modern electronic music. By 2011 they’re experimenting and recording in the studio. At the time there are several albums released on Automatik’s own label; starting with the debut studio album „Automatik People” (1998).
1999 brings „Cosmoson 5” – studio album released on Warsaw legendary Captain Sparky’s label. In the meantime, they play club and festival gigs in Poland and also Europe.
Three years later in their home town of Kielce the duo creates a multidisciplinary festival called Firmament (2002). It thrives to this day, promoting the full spectrum of ambitious electronic music.
In 2004 Automatik receives the Grand Prix Electronics award from a French radio station RFI and concerts in Paris clubs. Their songs appear on several compilations dedicated to electronic music.
Over the years they work as remix authors, producers and sidemans. They colllaborate with many musical projects such as Smolik, WYP3, Novika, Ania Dąbrowska and others.
Now they’re intensively working on their new studio album.
