12. Lublin Jazz Festival | Holden / Zimpel (UK/PL)
James Holden and Wacław Zimpel met in the summer of 2018 to improvise in the London studio of the first one. Loving musical hypnosis and trance, the duo will present an unexpected set played on improvised parts of the alto clarinet with the colors of modular synthesizers. The trance around which the duo’s music oscillates is the result of traditional folk, 20th-century minimalism, electronic dance music and improvised jazz. The concert will be an audiovisual event.
