Lublin Jazz Festival

“Chapters” is an original project of drummer Bartlomiej Oles, who invited the  outstanding trumpeter of young generation – Tomasz Dabrowski. Music which is formed, is full of jazz expression, energy, space and sound surfaces. The album of common duet  will be released in February 2015.

THOMAS DĄBROWSKI plays the trumpet, and the instrument called “Balkan horn”.
His strong, instantly recognizable sound and expressive playing, are inspired by free jazz, avant-garde Berlin and Eastern European folk. Thomas is considered one of the most original young generation of trumpet players on both the Polish and on the European jazz scene. In the age of 30, has released three solo albums, and dozens of albums as co-leader and sideman.

BARTŁOMIEJ OLEŚ is outstanding drummer, a versatile musician, composer and producer. He performs and records with outstanding figures of world jazz as Kenny Werner, David Murray, Tomasz Stanko, Erik Friedlander, Chris Speed, Matthew Shipp, Rudi Mahall, Theo Jorgensmann, Rob Brown. Over the past 15 years has recorded over thirty albums, five of which received the status of the album of the year.
For many years, creates a rhythmic dream-team of bassist – Marcin Oleś. Shadows solo album recorded with Kenny Werner was the best jazz album of 2006 in the world according to Polish Radio. CD recorded with JORGOS Sefardix Skolias and Marcin Oleś received the 2013 award as the best Polish Radio Folk Phonogram of the Year.
