Lublin Jazz Festival

A jazz quintet from Poznań that moves between European jazz, avant-garde music and free improvisation. Founded by saxophonist Krzysztof Kuśmierz and pianist Patryk Matwiejczuk, the band creates intense, narrative soundscapes in which lyricism meets unpredictability and collective energy. Their albums ‘8years’ and ‘Trust’, recorded with Anna Gadt — one of the leading figures in European improvised vocal music — have won critical acclaim in Europe, America and Asia. The band has performed at events including the Cairo Jazz Festival and the Nisville Jazz Festival, and DownBeat magazine described them as one of the biggest discoveries of the Jazzahead! festival
