Mikromusic combines enchanting melodies, musical craftsmanship and energetic concerts. They create an earthy fusion of jazz, trip-hop, rock and sometimes folk music. This mélange of styles has forged a truly distinctive sound which puts the group in a league of their own. The enigmatic voice of Natalia Grosiak is the defining element of the band which is finding greater success year after year.

The leader of the group is Natalia Grosiak, a talented vocalist, com- poser and lyricist. She sings Jazz but is equally at home singing club music and trip-hop. She represented Poland in 2006 at the ‘Red Bull music academy’ in Melbourne, Australia resulting in her featuring with foreign artists such as ‘Pascal Bideau’ where she sung ‘ From women to women’ in the film ‘Grown ups’ on a ‘Tor Cesay’ album released in the UK and Japan. She has also sung with Sofie Loisou, the Australian music producer. In Poland, she has collaborated with many musicians including: Andrzej Smolik, Renata Przemyk, Janek Młynarski and L.U.C.

So far they have brought out 5 albums, including a live DVD concert.

Their debut album, ‘Mikromusic’ (2006) featured guest appearances from: Leszek Możdżer – the world-renowned pianist, multi-instru- mentalist, Sambor Dudziński, and accordianist Piotr Dziubek.

In late 2008, the much awaited second album ‘Sennik’ was relaeased. The title which translates as ‘Dream’ reflects the repetition of words woven into the theme of sleeping. This is blended with the poetic, womanly lyrics of Natalia Grosiak.

The autumn of 2010 saw the release of the third album entitled ‘Sova’, which was considered the most consistent and energetic album so far and for which the band received the ‘Warto’ award from Poland’s leading national newspaper, ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’.

In 2012, the group celebrated its 10th anniversary and marked this occasion with a DVD from a live performance entitled ‘Mikromusic w eterze’ (Mikromusic at the Ether).

At the beginning of 2013, the 5th album ‘Piękny Koniec’ was released and received very positive reviews from both critics and fans.

The group who hail from Wrocław, Poland, present their music in a dynamic and energetic fashion on stage. Using their talent and skillful arrangement of songs, the group creates a micro-climatic relationship with the audience during live performances. The group has been nominated for the ‘Yacha’ award for their music videos of the tracks ‘Sennik’ and ‘Oczko’.

The group was also nominated for the Camerimage award for the music video ‘Thank God I’m a woman’ alongside bands such as Depeche Mode and Coldplay.

The group composed music for the Czech-Slovakian film production ‘Konfident’ and the musical ‘Trzy wesołe krasnoludki’ set to the text of Brzechwa for Poland’s Capitol Music Theatre.
