Lublin Jazz Festival

The music of this band is based on consensual improvisation – intense, precise and open to surprise. Their concerts are a dialogue between three individuals, based on trust, experience and shared passion.
Hoshii is one of the most fresh and uncompromising projects on the Polish improvised, alternative and electronic music scene. The band was formed at the end of 2022 on the initiative of saxophonist Kuba Wiecek, known for boldly crossing genre boundaries and building musical worlds on his own terms. From the very beginning, hoshii has been a laboratory for creative freedom – a meeting place for jazz, hip-hop, electronica and narrative art. The second album, Her Name Was Yumi, marks a new stage in hoshii’s development. Sonically deeper, more electronic and even bolder – it is a musical tale of return from the distant planet Versus Earth, longing, freedom and spiritual awakening. The symbolic figure of Yumi, inspired by the Japanese term ‘beautiful dream’, becomes a guide through this dreamlike yet very human world.
