Cheap Tobacco

CHEAP TOBACCO is an explosive mix of pure energy, authenticity and strong vintage sound, combined with the charismatic voice of a girl from Bieszczady, who was twice chosen the best blues vocalist in Poland. They have played about 500 concerts so far in Poland and abroad. They have over 15 Grand Prix awards and audience prizes. The new album “Szum”, whose concert premiere took place in the Studio. Agnieszka Osiecka in the radio Trójka, is an emotional rollercoaster, taking the listener on a journey among remarkable sounds, melodies and rhythms. Twelve compositions recorded at once in Monochrom Studio prove that CHEAP TOBACCO is an uncompromising group for whom rock energy and live act force are superior values. All this combined with the electrifying and at the same time lyrical voice of Natalia Kwiatkowska does not let us pass the album indifferently. The band, being a truly rock organism, does not allow to close them in any drawer. The group, which could be heard on the radio Trójka, boldly gives up the usual schemes for unusual inspirations, without being afraid of losing credibility. After the concerts promoting the previous recordings, it is time for the new face of Cheap Tobacco. Despite being recognized in the world of “blues”, the music of the band goes far beyond its boundaries, drawing from the accomplishments of rock, soul, pop, funk music, also hitting a light psychedelic music. Songs from the new album are both a dose of good vintage sound and strong riffs as well as heavy, smoky and spatial ballads. Lyrics about internal conflicts that each of us is facing, about leaving – for a moment and irreversible. About passing away but also about hope for final agreement and agreement.
